We've met a lot of solo females Travelers Backpacking Cycle touring . Even Sea kayaking . Check out Cycling Dutch girl.com for some serious solo inspiration.
The single lady backpacker should not restrict herself to camping in Britain.
Get on a ferry and discover France or even Germany (you appear close to Harwich).
With a mobile phone you can call home everyday (you may need solar recharging), and if you are worried keeping a personal alarm handy might be an idea.
Expect to be ripped off by campsites charging solos the family rate, but look for those sites that have small tent areas.
The only time you will feel lonely is when you are stuck in your tent listening to the rain.
Do it do it do it..... I have been solo camping previously and love it... as for what people think I don't really care I go in my car, with my greyhound and have a wonderful time. Its the best thing since denture grip

I have a 7 yr old son with downsyndrome.. He's a complete anomaly, not quiet and gentle like I was told he would be! Full of energy when he wants to be.. Then stubborn as an ox when he doesn't want to move..
My two are chasing round the tent right now so I'm thinking I'd like a bit of camping on my own 😁
lol tinhouse, someone told you a little fib, Stubborn as an Ox yep, friendly yes, quiet since when.
