After a year of having to put family camping and solo camping on hold due to the dreaded 'C' having an udder off... chemo and radio.. inclusive of being bald as a coot i'm sort of feeling something like.. whoo hoo...
Planning holidays again is a supreme buzz as I have missed it. So while I have been ill with the lurgs I thought i'd try a French deluxe mre.. safe to safe I impressed, decided to make up my own for future solo camping as its cheaper.
Has anyone else got a Powermonkey Explorer?? I have not used mine yet just wondered how others found it. So all you campers I hope you have all had a good year camping... We shall resume ours in the not too distant future
Make each day count folks and check your bits :)

Super, that you have the light at the end of the tunnel and recovering. Have a great time when you resume your camping PP.

Powermonkey explorer is a solar device to charge mobile phones, ipods, cameras etc. Can be attached to your ruck sack, left in the car etc.. makes solo camping easier and not worry about low battery for a single women out on ones tod

What i do is charge the battery unit up to full before i leave off the mains, 1 phone charge will use up most of the Battery unit, but i have never ever managed to charge the battery unit back up on the Solar in bright sunshine leaving it all day, it increases by maybe 2 bars but not enough to charge phone agin in evening. The solar charger on its own is not enogh to charge to phone up on its own anyway
The best thing i did was spend £20 on a power bank on ebay, which has 50000mhps which will charge my phone approx 5 full charges, so will generally last me most of the week.
Mine seems to be working ok.. so far.... see how it goes. will look for the power bank too, cheers for the heads up :)
