The trick is to try at home. If you think a recipe will work on site, try making it with only one pan, one ring on the hob and use the utensils you take camping.
For added authenticity, you could also have a rally powerful fan on in the kitchen whilst you cook and someone standing on a chair with a hosepipe spraying 'rain' at you, but that might be taking things a bit too far!
