These tub trugs have a multitude of uses. Here's a photo to show my trio of trugs. One for washing up (you can carry your dirty dishes to the sink with one hand), one for chilling your drinks (can't stand warm beer/wine), and one for keeping the shoes tidy (I can't bear a messy tent).
As for transporting, you don't need to try and collapse them. You just stack them and store the gas canister inside them.
Snap! Colour-co-ordinated to the tent too, and in different sizes
Also good for soaking feet in after a long/hot walk, for carrying/washing laundry in, and for storing whole lettuces/salad veg covered with a damp cloth to keep them fresh.
P.S. I spent several months bathing in a large one, whilst having our home bath/shower done (by the OH, he's a methodical - aka slow - worker).
Best thing for camping I,ve found for a long time. We use ours for the same things you do. I also like the way they are so flexible they can be "flattened "down for packing away.
Mostly washing up....But while travelling handy for keeping bits and bobs in....Also good for cold(ish) beer on a warm day....Loads of uses for them if you put your mind to it.....

We have found lots of uses for ours from carrying shoes, washing, food and even washing the smaller dog! Not the same one I hasten to add...always take at least 2/3 they fit into car easily and as they are not rigid you can squeeze them into gaps. Always useful when the boot is full!
Our children tease us for the amount of time we take packing for our trips away as we usually start the day before so I am glad we are not the only organised people.
We take one for washing up, one for rinsing, one for muddy footwear and one for storage. So four in total, and I am sure if we had more we would use them.
