We have an Outwell Vermont XL that has served our family well for several years. During last Summer the zip on the front door stopped working and I was unable to repair.
Is it worth me getting repaired, does anyone know how much it would cost to replace the zip and where we could get this done (we are in Greenwich, SE London).
Go Outdoors near us used to do tent repairs but not sure if they still do. Be worth ringing them if there's one near you. Otherwise there are a few online places. Just Google it and there must be one close by. Jen
You also say your tent has served the family well for several years....Which to my mind...Knowing nothing of the condition of the tent.....Tells me it may be coming to the end of its useful life....Only you can decide if a repair to the zip is worth the cost for another year or so's use...
Failing the finding of a dedicated tent repair place in your area....I have in the past taken my tent to our local sewing shop for minor repairs to stitching etc...This of course is dependant on tent size and willingness of sewing shop to take the job on....

I recognise that number! A second shout for Tent Valeting Services on Farnworth. I wasn't going to mention them due to your location but if you are willing to pay the extra for courier then I can only give them the highest recommendation. We have used them twice now and their customer service was second to none.
Now, this is the part that will really interest you. We have an Ouwell Vermont XL and we needed the zip repairing on the front door. £50.00 for a replacement. Great value.

Another vote for Tent Valeting Services
It costs less than you think to courier stuff to them.
I had the cabin and awning of a Pennine Pullman couriered to Birmingham for less than i could drive there!!
Give Graham a ring, you wont be disappointed!
