Seeing that you have a pyramid tent , our experience was we lost too much space in the sleeping area using our posodas camp bed with 10mm sim on top , have just tried out our Exped down mats 9DLX ( coupled together ) even found some fleece covers that fit perfectly , so much better than having a bar between us , packs small , easy to pack away , integrated pump , they have down built into them and are super insulative from the cold ground . Definitely a thumbs up from us for the Exped .

We no longer tent camp, but when we did it was always camp beds with a SIM ontop, or even better still, if you have the space, then buy some 4ins deep foam block, and cover it to make a propper mattress, real luxury for two, and they can be rolled up fairly easily to fit onto the back seat of most cars, or travel under the top cover of a trailer.

No longer have the pyramid (must update profile!) But similar in that we'll be using a bell tent. Seems your exped is no longer available under that name...

Different countries seem to use differnt acronyms at the end just found one under LW (long / wide ). Brace yourself there not cheap . I first came across the name Exped for mats on a similar thread on here a while ago and balked at the prices .... I've spent so much on upgrading my camping equipment over the last few years I hardly noticed the money going out of the bank with these !

Maybe the Exped Megamat would be a good option too , but I wanted to be able to pack mine into a rucksack for when I'm hiking.

Hope all is well for you in Cirencester tonight , we just got back from aour first camp of 2015 .. Looks like we will be going back to fforest fields for Easter - wifey loved it !

folding camper,, leaf sprung underneath,, mattress then a 3 inch memory foam topper... .. egyptian cotton sheet,, feather quilt and pillows,, ... we kinda like it :)

We use this in our 5m Bell tent, the daughters camp bed and sim is behind it.

We use 3" single bed memory foam toppers on them, spent 11 hours in bed on one of the nights when we camped last weekend, extremely comfy.

Raised camp bed and sim for me aswell. I do like a firm bed as otherwise i end up with back ache, so this combination works well for me.

We have the Coleman airbed with dual chambers(less bound e when 1 gets up). Have fitted sheet, sleeping bag, then I also have a blanket (which doubles as a blanket for being cosy in the evening).

Similar to what we use. Coupled with a duvalay, we have used this style for a few years now and it works well. It did mean finally getting a trailer though, so along came the Ifor willams GD84 with weld mesh sides.
