Hi, new to this forum so nice to see you all and I hope I'm in the right forum.
Obviously when camping space is a premium especially as we don't have a trailer or roof box yet so I'm looking at using space saver bags for the likes of duvets and pillows etc. Now at home deflating these bags isn't an issue but I also want to be able to do the same when packing up for the journey home and was wondering if anyone has any experience of using a standard camping pump such as this http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/hi-gear-tornado-pump-p143975 to do the job, is it powerful enough to suck out the air needed?
Thanks for you time and glad to finally be a member as lurking here for a while has been invaluable so far (camping newbie!).
Thanks, that's good to know, although with all the attachments these things come with hopefully one of them will be vacuum hose size and therefore no need for a funnel.
This now causes me another problem though, I'll be able to fit more stuff in the car and therefore more expense! Expensive business this camping business, at least at the start.

Get used to it, the spending never stops
So true, always replacing renewing getting new things because we need them etc etc etc
We have the space saver bags and use a rechargeable pump, nozzle isn't an exact fit like the vacuum cleaner, but you can hold in place quite easily
Dont forget you can also just use your body weight to expell the air.i also found that using a battery powered pump doesnt get as much air out as say when I use the hoover. Hope this helps
