So I've got a Cobb that we've probably used three times max. I've even got some cobblestones somewhere!
I've read other users saying they cook everything on there, but how? Does this not cost a fortune in brickettes? If not, what do you do with them? Do you put them out somehow after use? I don't think we've used it much cos it just seems so wasteful ( and I hate cleaning it, unless you have any tips for that too!).
We use the cobb (circle thingies) and have the quick light ones and the normal ones. Usually just use 1 and use for evening meal. Mr Frazzle has been shopping and bought some Heat Beads but have yet to use them.
I use Aussie heat beads and you don't need that many (6-8) as it depends what you are cooking. A bag of Heat beads costs around £7, I get mine from Waitrose. I found the Loki ones from HB didn't get that hot but that's my opinion.
This year Cobb are selling disposable liners so cleaning the moat isn't a chore but that's an expensive option. I do sometimes line mine with foil if I know I'm cooking something messy just to make cleaning easier.
In the moat we often put potatoes (peeled) with drop of oil and drop of water and some chunky pieces of carrot and wrap them in foil. Remember to make them slightly curved to fit into moat. Veggies and spuds done and moat clean (ish).
