If it's a connecting spring, it's quite an easy job to do yourself, as shown in this video (if part of the old connector is still in the pole and you can't remove it, just use a screwdriver or similar and tap it further in out of the way).
Replacing a button spring (as used to adjust pole length) is probably even easier.
