It's a really pretty cycle up the east coast of Loch Lomond. It can be fairly hilly though so you'll need a certain level of fitness. There's a great pub in Balmaha though to replenish your energy levels in
The best area I've come across in Scotland is the Rothiemurchus area near Aviemore. Cycling routes for miles to suit all abilities. Throw in the gorgeous scenery, lochs etc and you're sorted!
I agree with Rothiemurchus, there are routes to suit all levels from a short fairly level cycle to as serious as you want it to be.
Also one to consider is getting the boat at Loch Katrine with your cycle and getting off at Stronachlacher and cycle back to where you boarded the boat. The route is all on tarmac road which is a service road only so no real traffic to speak of.
Lots more info online...
p.s. There is lots of info online for cycle routes in Scotland in general..
