We just about survived this weekend in Paignton but unfortunately our tent was not so lucky. The side porch roof had a tiny tear where a seagull landed on it and within minutes had been torn right open. We also had leaks through the roof running down the clips that hold the bedroom pods to the tent and flooding the bedroom pod soaking sleeping bags and duvets :(
So where can I get fabric to attempt a repair myself using my trusty sewing machine or where in Dorset can I get a tent repaired? Its ripstop fabric not canvas. Dont really want to just use gaffa tape if I can help it

Can't offer advise re repairing yourself. Neither can I recommend a local (to you) repairer. But should you get to the point where you need to consider using a repairer further afield, who can arrange collection/delivery if required, then I can certainly recommend Canvas Repair Centre in Burton on Trent.
Hello Jules.
I was told about the Tent and Awning Clinic 15 or so years ago and I still use them, they will advise you on the phone and supply you what you require or repair you tent.

Depending on the size and repair quotes you could always use Tenacious Tape. Used it when our cat decided to climb the tent leaving a large rip bang in the middle of the luving area roof. Works a treat and doesn't look anything like gaffa tape.

I've had to do a repair on our tent and used Tenacious tape. Brilliant stuff.
