It is very low, even for those of us that sit down. DH used to kneel in front of it. The Khazi still has a bucket for the loo bit, so your wife will still be taking a bucket to the disposal point.
Thats what ive been telling her. She reckons itll be less embarrassing than bringing a yellow mayo bucket tho.
We use cat litter but then we use this stuff and its wonderful. A couple of sprays is all that is needed. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=poo-pouri&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=38729708666&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=957065379240544442&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_7yvturuh3c_e
I used to have no problem with my kampa khazi and found that kneeling down on night-time visits lessened the amount of splashback .However-due to limits on space for carrying equipment--it is now left behind because Mrs Mitch insists on taking her sawn-off 45 gallon drum and trolley. The drum takes a full week to fill and then off she goes with it loaded onto her trolley to the disposal station or behind someones caravan if nobody is watching. Then their is the entertainment value---Mrs Mitch like most wimmen..likes to "hover" and with a bit of gyration, some to and fro movement and foot-stomping-she has composed her own tune ---sort of sounds like one of those caribean steel bands practising. I have called it "fanfare for the camping man" I shall also soon be receiving a slap Goodnight all.
I ordered te khazi from campingworld last Thursday, it still wasnt dispatched by Monday so rang them. They said it should shipped that day and would check and ring back. Never heard back so rang again 5 hours later. They were about to check it and would ring back in a few minutes. Still no word from them on Tuesday so rang again. They told me it was ready to be shipped but i told them to shove it and give me a refund. If it didnt arrive(to ireland) by friday it was no good to me. After a bit of arguing they realised i wasnt backing down and they eventually agreed.
Shocking customer service from them.
On the plus side i had to drop someone to dublin airport today and found a shop nearby selling one. It cost me €2 more to collect than it did to buy and ship from the UK.
We have a small camping toilet we got from Netto way back for £30, it is quite low, but since it's only for night time wees, we manage! We use Elsan in it as you flush it so can use in top and bottom, wouldn't be without it!
We use a teeny tiny (and I do mean tiny) bucket with cat litter. On our last camp I over did the wood pellets and when I wanted a second wee in the night I discovered I was sitting on them as they had swelled right to the top. Had to hover Have used cat little for ages and never managed to do this before but it gave me a giggle at 4am!!
Edited to add that I use cat litter as I do not trust myself not to knock the bucket over in the night. I realise this is not likely to happen with the kampa khazi but there is no room in the car for anything bigger than our tiny bucket
We use one of these. Have rigged a collapsible bucket tied to the frame as a safety measure and allow the plastic bags to rest in the bucket. A couple of handsful of wood chip cat pellets and you are set!! All folds flat for packing and takes up no room at all.
We have one of these and have just cleaned it out each morning. I like the idea of cat litter and bin liners. My DH, however, doesn't seem bothered about walking across a site with a wee bucket and washing it out!
