Oh, dear Graham. You sweetie. Have you seen my list(s)?!!!!!!
I have them on my little UB40 thing (hang on USB says OH) and I have a list for :
2-5 people
2-3 nights
4 night and more
Dog list
Where the stuff is
What we might need to buy e.g. food etc

The first 3 up there are 2-3 pages (in 3 columns) and are always highlighted when stuff goes in - and the beauty of a UB..USB is that the list can change (needs or whatever).
I am sorry, but you are talking to the Queen of the List.
(I don't even do housework without a list - you know where you are with a list!)

Must be a girly thing this list business then....My wife is like a time & motion examiner as I get the stuff out the garage ready for loading up. She has lists for everything.

Any tips for folding the kalahari 10? A five pole tunnel tent with doors either side in the middle of each long side?

I get it in the bag eventually but it is always a struggle?

Thanks

Fit perfectly in the bag, but what I didn't think of, was that all the Ring & Pins were now firmly trapped bang in the centre of the bagged up tent. There's a slight chance of damage like that, and thanks to advice on here, I changed my method... simply fold the tent in half, so all the Ring & Pins are to one edge, then in half again. As you roll it up, all the Ring & Pins dangle at one edge of the roll. You may have to fiddle with them as you bag it up, but if they do ultimately stab anything in transit/storage, it is just as likely to be the bag rather than the tent.
With the first option, the only thing those pins can stab is tent!!

I guess damage is unlikely, but that second method seems to reduce the risk of damage that little bit further, in theory. It was advice I continued to take heed of.

oh I did not think of that when I folded up by Icarus after a test run in the gsrden! I have folded it with ring & pins inside! hopefully its ok and Il change next time

Neither did I, until I read it on here!

I guess there's only a minimal chance that damage will occur, (I rolled mine that way at least 4 or 5 times, before hearing this tip, all without damage) but they are "spikes" when all said and done, so the more out of the way they are, hopefully the less chance of damage. It convinced me, anyway, and I too changed my ways.

I've never owned a tent with fully sewn in groundsheet only bedrooms but I guess the same would apply.

I have always folded the inner in half carefully with mucky groundsheet on the outside. Left to dry on one side and then turned over to dry on the other. When dry either 1/3s or 1/4s to width of bag and then rolled.

Of course all guy ropes are done like "skipping ropes" but OH has yet to understand how to undo one!!
