We had airbeds last year, graduated to camp beds this year. Only done one camp with them so far but weve found them to be much warmer and comfier and I slept much better... that's my personal observation...
You can get them pretty cheap - we got the kids the cheap close to the floor ones from go outdoors when they were 2 for £20 and the higher up slightly bigger ones for 2 for £40 :)
On here most people will advise you to go for camp beds with a sim on top - apparently really comfy! that may be the way we go next year :)
