I have posted this video on a few FaceBook camping groups and people have loved it so as this part of the forum is about advise as well I thought this might help many campers...
If you use this system and you trap your fingers or rip your tent don't come back to me as you are doing it wrong...

Seen this first time around, and was equally impressed then.

Just as a matter of interest... just to get it out there, as it doesn't affect me...

Gary, would this work on yer average 11mm(?) flexi's. Like the Icarus and such like? I've lost count of how many times I've read of folk splitting these types of poles, (Thankfully never happened to me in the short time I owned an Icarus) and just wondered if they too would be advised to try this method?

Anyway... good work that man!
