We used it in the awning of our seasonally sited tourer so it was up from April til October and slept on 3/4 nights a week and we're 30 stone combined. Air top up possibly once a week and probably the best sleep I've ever had. first one lasted 4 seasons and cost £19.00 the second one we only used for one season and cost £39.00 but is now in use as a spare bed at home or in our static. To me, fantastic.
Marilyn I have a double intex airbed too which I put on top of two camp beds. Do you always have electric hook up, mine has a built in mains charger so I don't know what to do if I don't have a hook up.
We were permanently sited on a seasonal but now have a static so the Intex is surplus although it is a great guest bed.
Hiya, we've had experience of all various sleeping arrangements over the years. Didn't go camping for last few years but started again this year.
Thankfully before we stopped camping we had bought a double camp bed (outwell). We have had about 4 air beds in past 2 of which were Coleman that had a battery pump attached (great for re inflating) but over the time they gave up (didn't last that long considering the price! ) so opted for camp bed. It was a little uncomfortable this time round (it's an age thing I'm sure!!) so bought 2 self inflating mats and put a mattress topper and fitted sheet over them. I was not cold from underneath, but I will be taking an extra blanket for on top of me next time. I need comfort now! 😆
It all depends if you are going by car or have space for the comfort 'extras''
Hope that helps.
