as a new camper i would like to ask u folks some camping etiquette at the camp site. I know basic stuff from the camp website to where im going but i wanted to know other tips u campers have for a rewarding camp.
Regards
There is no etiquette as such just act as you normally do. As you have asked the question I guess you are ok so thats the way to be on a campsite. Just be ok.
Camping etiquette is unwritten rules, based on curtesy and respect.
Clean up after using facilities, dishwashing and shower area and yes some people don't heed this and expect others to this.
Walk around, rather than take shortcut through people's pitches..
Keep noise to a minimum after the stipulated time. Not have music or T.V loud.
Not to pitch to close to another tent on unmarked pitches. Due to potential fire risk spreàding.
Many of the rules are written in terms and conditions now.

I have never had anything go missing out of my tent in all the years I have been camping ( and that`s a few ) but if your nervous about leaving stuff in your tent lock all your valuable stuff in your car before venturing out.
If you padlock y.our tent people may think that there is something worth stealing inside and could just cut a hole in your tent. As campy c said. Lock your valuables in the car and don't worry about the rest.
I've never bothered locking a tent, as people might think there is worth stealing. Also if they really wanted to get it, it doesn't take much to make a hole.
Your original question was a very good one; and Hacksaw Bob's link covers it well. You might also want to have look at the Countryside Code. When we started, we got a lot of advice from the Camping and Caravanning Club; they also have advice on Camping Safety, as well as other matters. Their basic advice is min 6m between units; and keep a fire bucket by your tent!
