we are all off to Osea campsite next friday, and I for one am very excited! its the first time we will have had the tent up since last summer and only the second time since I bought the thing!
Due to us moving, pretty much knocking down and rebuilding our house and illness we haven't thought about getting the tent from the basement let alone spending a few nights in it. I really can't wait I just hope that the thunderstorms that are forecast for the friday hold off until the tent is up!
My eldest is not looking forward to it as he can't take his laptop and we have no electrical hook up for charging his phone! the 4 little ones seem very excited to be going on an adventure so much so they have asked everyday for the past week "are we going camping today?"
I still feel like that after decades of camping, I can`t wait till the August Bank Holiday as we are going for three nights up to the Lansdale's in the Lakes. Wish I was much younger then I could have more years camping Enjoy
I love camping, its the packing and unpacking I don't like!!
I would like to have a few weekends on my own (or with the wife) in a (lot) smaller tent to relax and not have to worry about food / drink / entertaining the kids. But I don't see this happening for a very long time yet!
Fingers crossed the little ones enthusiasm rubs off on your older one. Our holiday recently didn't start well due to a grumpy teen. After we had a chat with him about 'getting his head out of his a***e', he actually cheered up and we all had a great time.

Have a fab holiday
I'm sure he will be fine when we get in the swing of it, he's always like this (at the mo)
no chargers no laptops ipads ipods etc, hide your phones and chargers .....they will not notice...run free!
We had the same worries years ago and now all taken never used, they are there for only work purposes but even then ignore and take a laptop for a drive!
My kids do not notice it unless you mention it.
------------- It's better to ask a silly question than make a silly mistake.
I too have a grumpy teen who was not happy about camping with no hook up, think he quite enjoyed himself in the end though! The one downside was he uses his phone for the kindle app and he would have read a lot more if he could have charged his phone.
