Bought one last month, had to make sure the metal folding part was connected to the bottom tray.. but otherwise had no problems biggest issue is when disconnected from gas cylinder do i disconnect the hose as well ...havent so far..a clip to hose the gas line and regulator would be handy
Interesting: On my old non-folding Camping Chef I usually leave the hose connected to the regulator and remove the hose from the stove. Connecting the hose to the stove seems to involve a bit of bad tempered forcing and jamming.
When camping I just leave it all connected up all the time, but turn the gas off at the bottle. Then break down to stove, hose and regulator, and gas bottle.
I've had one for a few months now. It's been great for the money and folds down very easily.
I leave the regulator attached to the stove all the time. It's makes it a bit more awkward in terms of carrying I guess, but I can't be bothered to keep detaching it. I know you can buy a carrying bag, but not sure if it accommodates a regulator. I'm sure you could find a bag that did though.
As for performance, the 2 hob rings are superb. They are powerful and cook food quickly. The grill is functional, but it seems to take an age to get toast to brown.
£30 is a good price. I think we paid £35 and it seems to hover between £35 and £40. The RRP listed on the site is ridiculous - I've never seen them sold for £80.
