Afraid so duffs
It was the easiest pitch we've ever done and not having to wait until the dew had dried from the flysheet is worth it

No sat dish I'm afraid
Radio 2 in the morning long walks in the day then a nice glass of red with our dinner then in bed for 9.30ish ready for the next day
Think we are pretty boring really for an early 30s married couple lol

Hi to Paul & Kate. There are distinct differences & advantages in the many different types of camping . the main advantage of a motorhome is the ability to tour as you like using the "camping car aires " in France I suggest you buy the guide from vicarious books
http://www.all-the-aires.com/
one of the disadvantages is if you are using a camp site you have to either use public transport or rick loosing your pitch each time you go out.& also the lack of space inside for relaxing where a caravan or a tent has the advantage.
we have had all three & our trips with our motor home took in France Spain & Portugal & Morocco. You will love your MH but always miss being under canvas

One of the reasons we went for the mh was so we could use it all year round didn't really feel like doing it in the tent
Re satnavs
We just plan a bit better use the sat nav to get us somewhere near then use sign posts and common sense might be a different story in Cornwall next year but I hope to be a little at ease with beryl by then

Yes I would definitely say do your research re Cornwall next year. Plenty of narrow lanes to negotiate and some oddities such as near where we stay at St Issey. Supposedly an A road (A389) but in actual fact is very narrow and not suitable for motohomes whereas if you stay on the A39 and then use the B3274 (if you were heading for Padstow say) although a longer route is a normal width road with no problem for motorhomers.I'm sure the campsite will be happy to advise when you book.
Another thought re Cornwall. I read on one campsite website to phone them re bus timetables as they are sited on a narrow lane and apparently for health and safety reasons the buses are not allowed to reverse so you would be the one that had to. And of course beware the stone walls pretending to be a hedge

Driving a motorhome in west Cornwall is a pain tbh. If you are going down there find yourself a campsite near a beach & shops & take bikes.
