... Well, it makes a change from 300 threads about bird muck!!
It seems that snails and slugs, in La France, at least, are not too partial to cold wet pvc mud flaps, and are quite prepared to labour their way further north, to the more comfortable surroundings of 100% Tencate cotton canvas!
Gave the trails (one on each of my side panels of my front wall) a quick dab with kitchen roll, which wasn't great, so then an old towel, which seemed to help a little, but after one subsequent thorough (rain) soaking and one bout of drying in the sun, visible signs, albeit a little less obvious, are still there.
Unless anyone comes on here with tales of woe, I'm not overly concerned at present, and am currently working on the same lines as the aforementioned bird muck... a quick wipe then leave it for the weather to sort out.
... Am I on the right lines? Shall I leave it now?... or do snails drag acid or summat around with them all night!!
All tips and quips gratefully received.

Not a lot different to last year, in all honesty mate. Same site, but less neighbours. A lot less, to be fair. Similar cycle routes but less sunshine. Repeated most of our day trips, but got more rain, particularly in the second week.
Don't get me wrong, we still had a good holiday, but it wasn't quite as great as we normally have, and I don't think it would interest others.
The most exciting thing that happened is that, after 3 years, we found out our fleece lined super-doopah fisherman's sleeping bags actually zip together as a double... And I ain't posting those pics!!
