over the last few weeks,we have had our awning guide ropes chewed through/cut through, first time it was one,the next weekend we found two, went a couple of weeks with none damaged, now we have had another one damaged. At first we thought it may have been accidental ,when the chap was mowing the grass on the site, and caught the ropes,as it seemed to be a clean cut,but this week it looks more frayed, not a clean cut, anyone had this problem?any ideas to deter little furry creatures

Just a thought, how old is your tent, I know some groundsmen/ site owners can get a mite close when maintaining the ground,
guide lines do age, and maybe they all need replacing, uv light usage etc breaks down the fibre's.

Quite right but maybe a little sexist since a guy is a bloke and a guide is a girl. Perhaps we should have person ropes.

Would it be possible to stick a cheap CCTV camera in there to see what is going on? Assuming you can get cheap CCTV cameras

Is your awning left up on a seasonal pitch? I ask because ours is and we had to replace the storm guys when we took it down last season as they had become brittle and disintegrated when we took the awning down the year before.

another rope gone this weekend,! think now it may be a combination of perishing ropes/wildlife, we are on a seasonal pitch ,and to be fair the ropes are looking quite worn,so,hope it`s dry next weekend ,if not we will probably wait till we take it down the end of the season to replace all of the ropes.
