We just got a Kia Sedona can't wait to try it out on a camping trip. Think the idea will be if taking tent then use the Kia if caravan use the grand Cherokee so far the jeep has been great at everything bar mpg

Volvo XC90.

Had a removable towbar fitted for camping trips as I take a big trailer.

Although I've got a small dog, he travels in a crate in the boot space, so that takes up half the floor area, plus the table top fridge next to him.

Space-wise I can't fault the Volvo, the last time we took it camping in France hubby could see out of the back window after I'd loaded everything. When I realised there was space left over I had to double check my lists that I'd put everything in, amazing car lol

Plus it's comfy for long trips even in the backseats for my teenagers.

I like the look of the XC90, and it's the one we will probably take the closest look at when we have to change. It will need to be an oldie though as funds are tight now that we are retired.

What is the MPG like coastal-path?

Thats what we had before we got the Berlingo. this was ours nearly fully loaded.



It was a great car and the seats came out with ease. Its one downside is unless you buy one with factory fitted roof rails (we didnt, big mistake) you can not fit any kind of roof bars to it. You cant even fit. the roof bags with straps because it has curtain airbags. Skoda did offer to put roof rails on it at a price. I just didnt bother in the end and traded it in, but it was still a great car with loads of room for a small car.

I'm a bit off the wall here compared to most. I have a hobby reflected in my username - our family has to put up with my Legnum VR4 for our camping trips:



It is practical in just about every way except for fuel economy!

The MPG is dire.
The best I've ever got was 31, when we towed in France hubs got 29.
