We have a large 8 man and have only had one problem with size. When packing up a site owner asked us to phone ahead the next time we intended visiting with such a large tent. Needless to say we haven't bothered.
We tend to only use it for France. It is too big for weekends here.

We've used the Studland Classic 8 with front vestibule since 2011. With the side storage annex this measures about 8.1m × 5m in total we've had about 14 holidays with no problem fitting onto a standard pitch. Always stated the size of the tent when booking and taken a trailer. We bought the Studland Classic 8 Air at NEC on Sunday looked around the display and it seems similar layout to what we are used to and we wanted to reduce pitching time.

That's good to know someone has the same tent. It ticked so many boxes for me and my family situation. Toddler, me, 15 year old daughter and 12 year old son with autism. So space is important and with the wet summers we are prone to have the porch looked good size to cook me sit under and still have the living room as I call it

I'm stressing now regards space. I didn't think about pitching when I purchased it at the NEC. Maybe I should of gone for the croyde 6. It be too late to change plus I got it on finance. They studland 8 suited my family needs. I was going to book with camping and caravan sites as I found them good in the past. Feel a bit foolish.
Don't be so hard on yourself, just ring the campsite in mind and tell them it's an 8m tent, and no need to mention the guy ropes as most campsites go by the groundsheet size.
Hi
We have a Coleman Galileo 8 and haveve not had a problem with any site we have stayed at.
If you are looking for Dorset I can really recommend Rosewall near Weymouth for non ehu or Woody Hyde near Corfe Castle for ehu
Neither site had a problem with size

OR go to a campsite that doesn`t ask about tent size, I go to one in the Lakes that only charges £5 per head not the size of your tent or whether or not you have a gazebo -some can work out very very expensive.

What's the name of that campsite? Be interested in that the next time we go to the lakes.
