Hi , was wondering if anyone has tried to do a steamed suet steak and kidney pud in a slow cooker ? if so would appreciate method times etc thanks , right off to google it now but tried here first , cant beat tried and tested experience
Yes I often do. Prepare as normal. I put a couple on inches of water in the base of the cooker, pop the pudding in and cook 6-8 hours on high

slow cooked some lamb in ours, even brought the mini oven and had real roast potatoes lovely...just as much fun watching people pass buy with their gobs open seeing us eating a roast on a rainy day.

Re Wonderbag.. I'm intrigued too. My only concern would be whether the temp would stay high enough to kill of the harmful bacteria in raw meat, especially chicken.?
You don't put raw meat into a wonder bag....whatever you are making, you cook at boiling point for about 20 mins then transfer pot and all into your bag

My record is Sunday dinner for 14 in the tent including roasties and Yorkshires. I used 2 rings, mini oven and slow cooker
