Well this year we wanted to get a new tent, so we have purchased a Gelert Morpheous 6 in like new condition, a cadac safari chef, tablecloth and placemats, a second cupboard, new pans, new cutlery, collapsible drainer, washing up bowl and bowls, some extra lights, some large picnic rugs for the bedrooms and some new chopping boards. We are very much looking forward to using our new tent and especially the porch as that will be our living area. Last year i bought a trailer to fit it all in as we then had only 1 dog and now have 2. Roll on holiday

Now have a new 12v tv for our camper, plus digital antenna and padded carry bag, and on the way are a Y splitter for our power cables to supply power to the awning when needed, 4 sofa cushions and covers, a USB plug for charging two phones at once, spare cables for our phones, and some packmate vacuum roll bags for the pillows and cushions to be stored in when not in use!

i tell myself that once the camper is all kitted out and everything in place, the spending will stop, and to be fair, I have bought most of the kitchen stuff and most of the cost of the TV using vouchers from Amazon, and Love 2 Shop vouchers that I was lucky enough to win in a competition, and using Tesco Clubcard points to double up and pay for most of the bedding and quilts, plus the rest of the kitchen equipment.

I am known in my family as a bit of a bargain queen!

After a few years off camping we decided to start up again. So we set off to Go Outdoors to replace a tent pole on our old tent. So our purchases so far are are beyond a pole of course. Picked up a Vango Icarus 500, with footprint, carpet and canopy. So I wanted a new table too and we picked up a Hi Gear table. Hubby then wanted a new kitchen set up and were lucky to get a Camping Gaz double ring and grill, Sunncamp kitchen unit, gas heater and all the bottles for them from Gumtree for £40. So with a new kitchen I wanted new cutlery and crockery as all we had were oddments picked up over the years. So I saw new plastic glasses and wine glasses in Asda and a table cloth as well. Now with all this extra gear we need to use the roof box so we had to buy new bars as we changed the car in the last couple of years. So our replacement tent pole proved very costly But after our first outing, I am loving it!! The canopy and SIG makes life sooo much more comfy.

Side's & front for our Fiamma awning - much cheaper than the privacy room & suitable for our infrequent needs.

Nothing......

Same Here!!

Although, frustratingly, we purchased a pair of rather fetching canvas side walls for our sun/rain canopy last November. Only camped once since then (Mid Jan) and still haven't had chance to try them out.

The way things are looking, it could well be June before we camp again... by which time, I will be climbing the walls!

Well I was right... finally got around to using them a couple of weeks ago...

Other configurations still to play around with, but first impressions are that I won't regret buying them!

At the same time as those, I also bought One of these. Will do a bit of a review of that some time soon, but first impressions are excellent! (Link for reference only... Bought mine from CTS, the UK Karsten dealer).

...Expecting This through the letter box tomorrow.
Just need to buy 2 tickets for Eurotunnel (September) to go with it, now!

Also picked up a last-one-in-stock tent carpet from GO the other day. Better fit than what we already have.

Slow start to this year, what with one thing and another, but we're finally getting there now!

Have you tried them yet, Wilfs? Impressed?
We certainly are with ours (had them a good while now), and are a close second to the tent itself, when packing the car (In importance, as well as size! LOL!) Think we'd struggle with winter camping without them!

Just so you are aware (We found out almost by sheer chance) they do actually zip up as a massive double, should you be so inclined.

EDIT:
Sorry, I see you tried them in your living room. How did it go using them in the tent?

Must admit, we've never bothered taking out the removable fleece liner, but I do only wear shorts and tee shirt!

Yet another light... this one:

It's quite small in size but apparently very bright and can be hung up as well as stand on a table.

Also have another 'bedside table' lamp with diffuser style shade for the bedpod - but that was a gift.

Off on hols very soon - soooooooooooooooooooo excited to go and use our new chairs and old favourites
