Campernic, thanks, good price too, I will keep that in mind after I measure up this weekend.
Ficklejade, thanks for the smile, I will now remember that story. I will get the dog a different coloured towel. Good idea too about sleeping bags, I have a couple of spare ones that could go on top of an inslated/waterproof bed for her. I still need to source one.

Glad to make you smile! Not awfully amused at the moment as DS used my brand new micro-fibre bath sheet for the dog last night!!!
When we got the pup and took him camping, we were concerned but, as said, once he had his sleeping bag and waterproof mat, no problems. Bearing in mind we had a small dome or a small pop-up, there was no room for an inflated bed so basically followed the same principle as for humans with layers underneath.
However, dogs are smart and on particularly cool nights, he decided that the best place to be was between DS and self. When I took him camping on my own in similar temperatures, he'd cuddle up to me. Great hotwater bottle! But he went too far one night when a call of nature took me and I came back to find him IN MY sleeping bag! Be warned:-)!
