Hi I'm new on here, we have been camping for a year and love it. We spent two weeks in Normandy last year and are returning to the same place again. We have a teenage girl who is bringing a friend and I have thought of getting them their own small tent for their gear and to sleep in. Anyone done this before and Any advice on the best type of one. Thanks
It's very common to take a 'pup tent' usually a two person tent. In France the pitches tend to be quite big so it's an excellent idea.
I have ordered one of the new Olpro POPs (only released today - I ordered ages ago!) which is a two berth tent available in green, orange or blue. I ordered the green one. There's a video on youtube about it.
I like to have a small tent for fair weather camping when I only get the chance to go for one night.
I don't know yet if I would recommend it or not, but give me a week or two and I'll get back to you.
We bought a 3 man dome tent for the grand children a few years ago,ok it was a Tesco one but we got got at the right price. It did the job and easily went on our pitch as well as the large tent that we used.
