We have a carpet for our tent. However it drives me insane. Always bunching up. Never smooth and fitted round the edges. Moves about. Am i missing something? Warm on my feet yes but looks messy!
Yep, we are lucky in that respect as our modified Outwell Minesota 6 Tent carpet is kept in place, by the rubber feet on the Tent Poles, as the Tent Poles run inside the Tent.
Our other Tent carpet a modified Outwell Wolf Lake 5 in the bedroom pod, is kept in place by all the grubbins in there.
Maybe you could try some tough double sided tape, it seems to work ok for regular carpets, so I guess would be fine for a Tent carpet.
we tend to have plenty of heavy things to place around the edges of our carpets to keep them in place, but if you don't then how about taking a few rolls of that rubbery anti-slip mesh with you...you can pick them up for just a couple of £'s each, if that...they wouldn't take up much room in your car and you could just lay them out under your carpet to help it grip your groundsheet...

Agree with Moonstone, as that's what we do, we bought a couple of rolls of tacky mat from the pound shop, cut in into suitable sized pieces and put on the floor before the carpet gets put down, had no trouble with it moving.
I use heavy duty velcro and stick it down, that way we keep it in the tent and it is one less thing to set up. Big caution though, it stays damp so the tent needs putting up and airing as soon as home or remove the carpet and dry when at home.
We don't have a problem now but in our last tent that used to happen. While on a trip I went to a hardware store and bought some elastic and nappy pins. Our tent had anchor points round the edge which we were able to hook the elastic through and then pin to the edge of the carpet. It worked for us! Nowadays I find that we have enough furniture round the sides of the tent to keep the carpet, in the main, in place.

I bought a drive away awning carpet. Fleece on top with a rubber base. It doesn't ruck up unlike normal tent carpet.
