Five weeks today we will be pitched up and the summer hols will have begun :)

We're naively hoping that travelling from SW London to the West Country early on the very first day of our summer holidays (ie Thursday 21st) that the traffic won't be so bad as people may be doing Saturday - Saturday...

Can't wait Anyone else getting excited yet if you've got to wait a while for holidays or is it just me?!

Depends what time you call early. If you can clear London & be on M4 or M3 by 6.30am then you should have a clear run.

For your return, I'd pack up in morning, spend the rest of the day on the beach & head back about 6pm. Have a nice time...

I'm excited too!

Our youngest breaks up from school on Tue 26th so as soon as he gets home we'll be heading from Manchester down to Hopyard Farm in Worcestershire for one night. Then on down to Cornwall (Trevornick) the following morning for 7 nights. Then back up to Oxfordshire (Hardwick Parks) for 4 nights then home

Once you get past Reading on the M4 I find it's generally a bit quieter. Hope you have a smooth journey!

If heading down to Torbay we now have a nice new bypass so no longer massive traffic jams when entering Newton abbot

We are off to the new forest next Thursday, for 13 days. Can't wAit.
Will be over 20 days camping this year already in just two trips. Hoping to get away August some point to.

I love and hate the last few weeks count down especially the last week. The anticipation and that excited feeling in your belly mixed in with a week that is going in at a snails pace. Hope it comes in quick for you and hope you have a great time.
