We have camped for years in our Outwell Indiana 8. But a very wet week in Norfolk proved to be the last trip as we heard a ripping noise as we struck camp.
There were some tears and general stomping around - then new tent selection.
After much discussion we have joined the Bell Tent Owners. 5 meter Bell tent winging its way to us from Canvascamp in Belgium. Fantastic service.
Arrives early next week and plan to try out the following weekend.
Silly question time to bell tent owners... does not having an inner tent make it any cooler when it's bedtime or, as bell tent canvas is quite thick - generally - does that keep the heat in at night and thus negate the benefits of a bedroom pod?
Ramarama - we too are owners of Outwell Indiana 8. Thankfully she's still going strong but I did fear for her life when camping in the half term. The wind and rain was the most we've ever camped in but thankfully all was fine. She done us proud 👍🏻
It will be a sad day when we do say goodbye and we have many wonderful memories accumulated over the years.
Hope you have many happy trips in your new bell tent 😀
Welcome to the club Ramarama. The bell is fun and reliable. Get a reliable tarp and you will have a fab set up...kitchen and people-watching-while-sipping-hot coco/wine sorted. I actually love it when it rains when camping cause I love sitting outside the tent, bbq-ing and listening to the rain landing softly on my cotton tarp.
Separately, you are probably aware of this but your name means butterfly in Malay
Long shot now I know but I don't suppose you still have the out well tent? My friend had just bought one and unfortunately the main bedroom wasn't with the tent. We went away last weekend and she had to sleep in the main section of the tent. I was wondering if you still had the bedroom section and would be looking to sell it?
