Having just changed our tent, we have all the bits for our old tent (Gelert Horizon 8) and was looking for advice on best way/place to sell the component parts (and indeed if it's even worth trying?)

The tent itself is no good as was leaking badly, but we have the poles/inners and extension/porch for the Gelert, plus footprint and carpet for a compatible Khyam, all in good/very good used condition.

Aware that the model was (I think) 2010 so not expecting high demand, but before I go to the trouble of splitting and listing everything separately was wondering if anyone had any hints or tips for me.

EBay and gum tree probably best place to sell. I know I constantly look at gum tree for camping goods.

Hi do you still have the carpet and footprint?
If so how much do you want for them?

Our tent got blown down in the wind and the fabric was wrecked. Sold all the poles that weren't damaged either as a set if they were intact with the cord or as single items on eBay and raised about £85 pounds which made the purchase of a new tent slightly less painful!! I based the starting price on 99p per pole section.

It's always difficult to know how much to ask for items, which is where eBay comes in handy because you get what the market will pay, but listing on a site such as this puts you straight into the right market. Have a look for what similar items are going for on eBay to give you an idea of a resonable price.
