Hi there my 1st post !!
Recently returned from a weeks camping in harlyn bay in cornwall.
Had a lovely week but decided our tent was to small so decided to buy a outwell glenwood 600 with front add on!
With the front on it makes the tent 8 and a half meters long !! Now a little concerned it's to big I know C&CC pitch sizes are 5m by 9m so I'm inside that but has anyone any experience of any problems with a tent this size
Thanks in advance
Chris

Hi Some greedy site owners will want to charge you for a double pitch. Best to tell them your tent size when booking and give them a swerve if they try it on.

Does the CC&C pitch size allow for guying, otherwise you may be over

The site we stayed at in Cornwall a month ago will only accept tents less than 7m in length plus guys, so at 6.65m we were only just under. We've also had to park our camper somewhere else before, as we weren't able to park on the pitch & I wouldn't say out tent was huge (6.65 x 4 meters) I would always check with the campsite that they have a pitch large enough to allow you to guy out properly, park your car & have some outside space.

I've been to 3campsites this year all with different pitch sizes and ideas about how far apart people should camp. The C&cc site I was at last year had jumbo pitches which I used but was told I probably didn't need to as tent wasn't all that wide. They do leave big gaps between pitches.
whereas the site I was in Yorkshire each pitch was 6m wide and you had to keep within that space but neighbour could be right up to edge too. Felt too close.
