They do suffer as they are single skin, have you considered a Khyam tent?
or an air tent with electric pump like the airgo horizon 4?

We have a Kampa Brean 4 Air which is really easy to pitch - 3 beams to pump up & a single fibreglass pole for the canopy. But even though the airbeams make it easy to put up, it still has to be pegged out the same as any other tent so with a bad back it could still be hard work.
The Olpro Pop looks really good but it's only 2 berth & not standing height so may still not be great for your back.
It might be worth looking at Decathlon's range of air & pop-up tents?
