If I should get a puncture in an air beam how should it be mended will an ordinary repair kit do or is there a special patch available ?

Tenacious tape would probably be your best bet, but it's unlikely you'll get a puncture in the inner bladder. More common problems are leaking valves and failure of the inner sleeve which contains the bladder. I did a thread recently with pictures which might help. Search for air beam field repair in the Tent Talk section.

Yes, the chances of getting a small puncture is very slim but if you do then this video might help.
