Had a wee play with my DO last weekend up in Glencoe...Only got the pot so far but a friend brought her tripod for me to try..
Successfully cooked stovies (Sausage..onion.. and mash) in it...So much other food on the go that it never got eaten but hey I had a go...
Been around fires where dutch ovens have been used..And sampled the results many a time...But 1st time using my own was a bit nerve wracking..Constantly checking the contents etc...Stirring every few minutes etc...But turned out fine...
I like my campfires when camping and am sure I'll make use of this pot in the future..Tripod and all the accessories will be purchased in the coming weeks and look forward to cooking something in it over a fire on a beach somewhere on the west coast of Scotland on my main holidays this year...
I'll let you know how I get on!!!
Jelboy.
