I'm going to Townsend Farm Thursday- Monday camping for the RIAT Airshow this year, there is no power available so wondering what the best options are for charging my son and myself mobile phones ? Any links to advised options would be a great help thanks
your car! little amount of sun to charge anything solar at the moment, and switching them off over night will save a heck of a lot of power, make them the last thing you do before leaving the house and they will be fine or should be for 5 days
Thanks for all the advice and comments, this is my 3rd Year and I usually use the car to charge but after having a few beers it doesn't feel very clever leaving the car running 😜
For a solar charger think 10w minimum, if it is a USB solar charger you will need a power bank anyway. The combined solar charger battery packs are toys, you'll get one phone charge off the mains then not be able to recharge it on solar.
A charged up 4 cell 18650 lithium ion battery power bank should give you a few phone charges before it's flat.
Always carry a shaver socket USB outlet as you can use it in toilet blocks in UK and France.

Just a thought. If I remember correctly RIAT offer a phone charge facility if you are going in for all three day's it may be worth looking at that option and saving any portable charger for when you have no other option?
