Hi there, I know some of use an electric frying pan, just wondering what u cook in it and how useful are they? Im thinking of getting one for windy days when I struggle keeping the gas going and just for ease when Ive got EHU.

I have used one for years, both at home and when camping/caravanning. Brilliant for breakfast fry ups, great for curries, chilli, casseroles etc. Have used it to heat up bought pies, pizzas. Very versatile and I wouldn't be without it. Mine is a prestige make.

I bought a Quest Elite Maxi Grill 3 years ago which the power output is just 1300 watts (with adjustable temperature setting) which is designed specifically for camping and caravanning. We have used it several times for cooking rump steaks, gammon steaks, beefburgers, sausages, kippers, mackerel, tomatoes plus a full English breakfast and the fried bread is fantastic if you dip the bread in cold cooking oil first. Any excess fat runs down and collected in a removable tray underneath but the taste of the food cooked on it is delicous. Fried eggs are about the only thing you can't cook on it.

Just search for electric frying pan recipes and you will come across pizza recipes along with loads of other ideas. I cheat and cook bought ones instead.

Hi,
After watching a guy on a campsite some years ago use the item below to cook absolutely everything, we went out and bought one.
It does cook brilliant breakfasts, curries,pasta dishes ,pizzas and even part baked bread rolls.
Three years on, surface is still good and cleans very easily.
Reduced to £9.99 at present I believe.
Never had an issue tripping the EHU with it either.
