... from anyone moaning it was too bloody hot in their tent, I swear I will scream this forum down!!
Seriously, I hope many of you have been/are camping this weekend... and congratulations on picking an absolute cracker!
Last time we had proper warm sunshine on our tent was way back in September... and we had to drive almost 1000 miles south to achieve that!
To be fair, we had a half decent weekend a week ago ("For the time of year") up here in Derbyshire, but this weekend knocks that into a cocked hat!
We've had to endure a traipse around various shopping establishments (yesterday), but have at least treated ourselves to a fantastic 27mile bike ride today, with a couple of pub stops and a nice tea-room lunch thrown in, (Shorts and short sleeves all the way... and factor 50 on the face, of course, to avoid those Panda eyes!) so whilst I mustn't grumble, I can't help feeling a little peeved that we haven't been away in our tent this weekend!
Hope those of you that have, have had a fantastic time!
Feel free to come on here and tell us all about it (or rub our noses in it! LOL!)... preferably with pics, of course!

My girls were in Wasdale doing a practice Duke of Edinburgh hike and came home with pink noses! Not sure they were too hot in their tents though as was cold over night.

Not much chance of that in the North West this Easter Weekend.....9C. Hope to get away for first time this year though.

We are home for the weekend due to my elderly Dad suffering a fall this morning, but we have spent the day up at his place overlooking Carsington water, and its been very busy with lots of Caravans arriving on site and a hand full of tents too.
It will no doubt get busier as the weekend approches, followed by the madness of the mass exit on Monday, along with the traffic Jams along the narrow parts of the A6 through the town centres, and the craziness of those who follow their sat navs religously and end up stuck down lanes that are not sutable for anything larger than a single car being driven Solo.
Hopefully the weather will stay kind to everyone this weekend and you all have a good time, being retired we now have the luxury to choose a quiet time for our trips away, although we can no longer do the long outings for several weeks at a time due to caring forvthe old folks needs.
Julia

Lovely during the day...hopefully the night time frosts won't put anyone off.
I usually wait until the night temperatures are into double figures these days.
I will hopefully be away as soon as Easter is over if the temperatures improve.

Just been away and woke up yesterday morning to a heavy frost and ice on the windscreen of the car.
