Hi guys I am after a bit of help/advice. Having recently upgraded our tent to a Hi Gear Voyager Elite6 Tent which we love, what is the best and easiest way of erecting he centre cross over poles, as there is only myself and my wife.

Hi tried watching youtube videos and a lot say that someone needs to be inside to help push the tent up. Is there any other way it could be done, as I am 6ft tall and my wife is only 5ft tall.

Do any members on here have the above tent and if so how to you erect the centre cross over poles.

Hope the above does not sound a silly question.

Thanks in advance

I have one of these....Great tent imho.

I'm a short ar*e and wife is shoreter still....What we do is wife gets inside tent and stands on our small folding stool then she helps push up the pols as I locate each end into the clips. Works for us anyway.

We have added the porch extension for this year so that'll amuse other campers as we try to sort that out lol.

Hiya, we've had the voyager elite since last year (love it). Last year we did as Graham said and had me standing inside on a stool, but then I hurt my back and it became too heavy for me to do.

So this year we've had a few goes at different ways but this weekend we did the following and it worked well for us:

Feed both of the black poles through, then my partner pins the first one in whilst I'm at the other end sorting out any snagging, then pin one end of the other black pole and stand the tent up and pin the other end in.

Then feed the two grey poles in and pin them one at a time.

Finally feed the yellow pole and pin in.

I'm only 5'3 and he's not more than 5'10 and it worked well for us this weekend.

Good luck!
