All our dogs love camping.   Get a good tie out stake and lead and keep your dog attached to it. We've got a crate for them at night, you know where they are with that, cover the whole thing over with a blanket to try and get them to sleep later in the morning and keep any draughts out. I've had visitors in the night before eating the dog food so that stays in the car till needed. Make sure you've got plenty of towels, wet dogs after they've been in the river or sea make a mess even in a tent.
