For anyone else reading this thread that is looking for a tent, we got a factory second tent from here http://www.a2zcamping.co.uk/ last year, quick delivery, the only thing wrong is that the groundsheet in the porch is missing (which we knew before we purchased) got a great deal on a new air tent.

Don,t forget to take earplugs! Outside noises can seem pretty loud in a tent but we've found earplugs can really aid a good night's kip.

Try for a weekend to see if everyone likes it.

. You can use duvets from home - try the vacuum bags for less space used. No need to buy sleeping bags yet

. Eat out for dinner or take away or heat up food eg. casserole or use a small BBQ or disposable BBQ.

. Use a normal cool bag from home - pre cooled. Used a soft sided one for a week on our first family trip (we are 5 too).
