Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced family (4-6 berth) tent that has 2/3 bedrooms side-by-side with dividers between them? The layout of our current tent with the bedrooms at opposite ends of the tent doesn't really suit our youngest child.
Plenty of family tunnel tents from different makers have a side-by-side layout. It depends what constitutes reasonably priced and how you prefer the layout of the main living area.
I used to have a Vango Tigris 600 which had the bedroom layout you describe with an extra sleeping pod at the other end (one person in practice), separated by a living area in the middle and doors at the sides. The Outwell Nevada 6 is basically the same design. When looking, make sure you are happy with the divider in the main sleeping area; the Tigris, for example, was just a curtain hanging from the middle of the bedroom pod. I think having a big door in one end like a Vango Icarus/Outwell Nevada 5 is more flexible than a small door in each side like the Tigris/Nevada 6.
We got a Kampa Croyde 6 air tent from here last year,

The bedrooms are at the back, living space in the middle, and a porch at the front which we used for cooking. Doors either side and one at the front. We found it had loads of space,- can have 3 bedrooms if required,- the dividers zip so you can have any combination of bedrooms, loads of living area space, and a third space for cooking. We got a good deal as it was a factory second, - missing the porch groundsheet.
saw the outwood glenwood 600 tent at go outdoors yesterday. it was £299 - but you could get it as a bundle deal with the footprint, carpet and awning for £499.
If you are from Hull as your profile sugests i would recomend going to Winfields on Hessle Road. They have about 70 Tents on display over 3 floors so you can look at all the tents and pick the one to fit your requirements and budget. I have just bought a Vango Orava 500xl bundle and tred it last weekend and am delighted with it. We looked at the tents at go outdoors and looking at some of the Outwell tents and doing some research some are exclusive to go outdoors and are not the same quality you would expect from an Outwell tent, That is only my opinion having owned an Outwell Nevada xl, I was looking for another Outwell tent, but after seeing the Vango it fit our requirements and budget and is easy to pitch. Good luck with your search and Happy Camping.
Another fan of Vango tents although now own a Royal Winnipeg 4 (discontinued). As above go and view but better tip is to pay for a good one as it is the backbone of your camping trip. We started off with an Argos one, one weekend then suffered a bad weekend then returned it Monday just to pay proper money for a decent one and never looked back. Why not go to a camp site and treat it like a show room. I love people coming in to look around our tent, it builds friends during your trip.
I'm a personal fan of steel or aluminium poles as they are very strong in the wind. Not tried inflatable one yet but loving our Royal too much to move to an inflatable. Happy hunting it's such fun looking at tents.....
we've just got the Vango Keswick 600. Its huge and has a hanging devider. was 329 from Winfields online. We bought it blind but can't fault it although haven't used for a trip just pitched it in the garden.

We just got the Keswick 600 air! Only test pitched in the garden so far. We had a vango Maritsa 600 before and wanted the same set up so went for the Keswick because of the price. Wanted air or would have been tempted by the pole version. Let's hope we both enjoy many trips!

We looked at the air version but settled on pole for our first tent as didnt want to spend to much and then hate it! Only problem we had in the garden is the bugs but we are south facing in the country so perhaps they just got trapped and we dont usually notice them.
