I am going to a campsite soon and all of the pitches are on a slope. Me and my son have both got camping beds and sims. Which way is it best to sleep? With out feet at the bottom of the slope or our heads at the lowest point etc. Thanks
Let's just be clear here... there are no rules. No laws to be broken, no risk of campsite eviction, and no ASBO's to be issued.
If you want to sleep with your head lower than your feet, then you go for it. We won't judge you!
Why not try sideways... so if you do slide off, at least you'll stand a better chance of a soft landing... or at the very least end up on the floor readily in the recovery position!
...Having said all that, I suspect you will find that the previous two posters are "right", even if I am a big fan of those who portray a whiff of individuality. It's good to be different!
EDIT:
Make that 3 posters, by the time I'd finished!

We slept on a slope the other week. My 11 year old, body clock seems to have leapt ahead and thinks she is a teenager, slid off her SIM in the night and was to be found with the bottom of her sleeping bag pressing against the tent wall furthest down the hill.
We got up, made breakfast, had a shower etc., etc., with her still asleep and the door zipped open, she was actually half out of the tent by the time she woke up at something like 945.
Individuality is fab but we do start off heads at the top of the hill generally.
Not sure cheese is a good idea, Bob.
The field mouse would have a field day (or night) and not only will that end of the tent drop suddenly once they start nibbling, but you'll probably find a family of squashed mice under there too. Messy!!
Come on Bob... think first!

Tie a guyline round your neck and peg it outside. If you survive the night you will find you haven't slipped far down the slope.

On a serious note, for any children reading, DO NOT DO THIS, as it could be very dangerous!
...Get a responsible adult/experienced camper to do it for you, to ensure the correct knots are used, and preferably using a Delta Anchor and Line Loks for good measure!
Dear oh dear, some people just don't think!!
