I have just bought a second hand Royal Bordeaux 6 Select ZG tent.    Myself and my daughter and three little kids are going camping in a couple of weeks. We haven't camped for years - we used to have a Conway Camargue trailer tent.
have never pitched a tunnel tent before - could someone recommend the best way to pitch.    We have had a trial run but it seems there are two straight poles which are used to strengthen along the inside of the tent somewhere but we can't work out how they fit in.    I have printed the instructions off for the new Royal Charlecote which is very similar but still can't work out how these poles work.    Would appreciate any ideas.   It's a large tent 6.8m x 4.5m!

For pitching a tunnel tent Youtube is your best friend. As for the straight poles you refer to I think but I may stand corrected that they are attached from front to back along the inside of the roof somewhere. Sorry I can't help anymore. But no doubt someone will be along that may know more about these other poles.

Chesk this video out. Might show the poles on the inside you refer to.

Hope this helps.

i don't know the tent you are talking about but we spent a few hours trying different methods of pitching our tunnel tent the other day. The Cross camping method is by far the best. once you open the doors and get the air in its so easy. You tube it.

Thank you everyone for your help.   I've looked on Youtube too so fingers crossed we will have pitched it on Friday!
