Hi all finally convinced my new hubby to try camping and theres no going back i have the tent arriving tomorrow we went for a vango keswick. Is there any vital equipment you couldnt camp without or woukd reccommend as its a long time since i last went and cant remember what i used to take. I want to make his and his girls first trip funa nd enjoyabke so we can go again and again with my lot too as next week they are away with their dad so going to find a nice site not to far and book tomorrow or friday for the weeknd and next week. Would a weeks stay for his first trip be too long ?
Lots of questions hope someone can help thanks x
if you're taking air beds take a blanket and mattress topper to keep the cold out.
Wouldn't go without a whistling kettle.
As a Keswick owner, practise in the garden first! Its a big tent and requires practise. We use the cross camping style method. Get the canopy pole in first, let the air take it up, having pegged the 6 corners, the air inside makes it much easier. Then just add the poles.

I dont think we will have time as we going tomorrow and tent arriving today. I have camped before so not a total novice and looked at you tube videos for it. What is cross camping style? Not heard of that before.
Thanks for the advice
