Got back from Cornwall about 10 days ago and had high winds and gusts 47-50 mph - at one point it had predicted up to 70mph. So googled tent wind tolerance on tents (we have an Outwell Bear Lake 6) and according to Outwell, tents should be dropped at 30mph! Ooops.
OH had remembered Sceptical Campers advice plus we loaded heavy stuff in corners and around edges etc. and all went, thankfully, well and the tent stayed put. All apart from one day when OH advised we had a mountain in the middle of the tent!
