Sounds good, what width are they when strapped together?

Sorry Ewen, was being lazy 😀 Looks like theyre 70cm each on the specs, totalling 140cm for the two. Our Outwell Dreamboat XL12 is 132cm so leaves 40mm smaller per side which seems acceptable, but the length is 198cm which is 40mm bigger per side than the quechua's specs, again not really far away. Do you think the system will work well with a thick SIM, i like the idea of the top having proper slats and being flat, compared to the metal bed frames. Do you not find yourself rolling into the middle or is it quite 'uniform' once the two are strapped together. The pack sizes look nice and compacted too.

They are pumped up to 6 psi so no rolling into the middle. It is totally level when connected.
There is elastic at each corner for mats. We us a 10cm kampa bliss. Our daughter prefers a 3cm sim. They roll up to about the size of a single 3cm size.
The downside is pumping them up. Decathlon recommend a manual hammer pump. Get an electric pump with a pressure cut off to save your back.

Another thumbs up for the Quechua Camp Bed Air, very compact size of the bed frames, supports the sim beautifully and raises it nicely off the floor. Cant wait to try them out on our next trip. http://https://www.decathlon.co.uk/air-inflatable-camp-bed-70-cm-id_8352099.html[/IMG]

Ewen C, how do you find the quechua bases in the Alaska? Do you end up almost touching the inner where it slopes down at the back or is there a bit of space?

No problem actually. We have our heads at the slope and feet at the bedroom door and no touching the inner. We have had this with the divider and without. Enough room at side too. The added advantage is you can open the bedroom door and sit on the bed.
We only put a 10cm airmat on the quechua. Anything higher may be a problem but maybe not as we had lots of headroom sleeping.

Right, decision made, we have 10cm sims so should work fine, they're very comfy but I don't like being right on the floor. We're off to Decathlon this week so they are now added to the list. Might need a trailer soon to fit in all the extra gear but that is another thread!

These pics may help. Bit of a messy tent though

We might be in the same boat hamstrings! Need to have a load up and dry run before our next trip, the amount of kit just keeps growing 😃
