Tried them all, and have come back to a simple filter cone as the most practical, and optimal taste. Prefer Lavazza espresso ground coffee, just wish they made Nespresso pods for home.

Yep, cooking in the porch should be fine, especially if the door is at least partially open and you are not too close to the tent material. We are limited in car space so don't bring a coffee maker, just Lyons coffee bags (like a tea bag but with coffee) and an insulated mug. I can't do anything till I've had my morning caffeine fix either . . .
