Webbing strap is like you'd find on a luggage strap, tie down strap etc. I always keep a 10mm or 15mm thickness small roll (in black) of it incase a peg loop breaks, if it's one of the front or back ones it'd need replacing or repairing hence the needle and thread!!! You'll easily find some on Amazon. I probably own the most heavy handed husband in the world and need spares of everything - love him to bits though!!!!

As long as you have a tent that is standing and waterproof and maintain good fire safety there is very little that can go wrong that can’t be dealt with with a little ingenuity, good humour and willingness to adapt.
All part of camping.

Well folks, just a quick update, we had a ball everyone loved it, just a few minor things,
1. Forgot the frying pan 😂, had a homer moment there. So I think I will make out a checklist for different elements of the trip ie, sleeping, cooking, tent.
2. A mat for coming into the living area.
3. Hygiene and general tidiness, hard to enforce with 4 young kids but I found the tent got messy very quick so getting some sort of system in place for clothes, toys and not eating in the sleeping areas or living space.
(ex army, so I was probably a bit OTT on the camp discipline), according to my wife 😂.
4. Have a great little cool box which has a cool/heat option one of my young sons decided to flicked the switch from cool to warm so needless to say the campsite cafe got a visit on the last morning.
But just how I imagined it, toasted marshmallows, ghost stories, adventures in the Forrest, sunsets even a few beers magic. Looking forward to going again kids are still buzzing about it.

Barney we use plastic crates with the lids to transport our food (not the fridge stuff) and another utility box for plates, cups and all other. We unload these boxes into the kitchen unit and table and then we have storage boxes to use.
We use one for waterproofs (dry of course), another for swim wear including dry shorty wet suits. We have another place for dry towels and washing stuff and a bag for all our shoes by the door.
